Welcoming Arms: A Model for Ecumenism

Welco​ming Arms is an ecumenical service project that brings together various Christian churches in Aurora, Ont. It serves over 500 individuals through visits to its support programs each month.

Our Lady of Grace Parish in Aurora is one of the participating churches, together with Deacon Pat Colangelo from the local parish.

Both the Office of Ecumenical & Interfaith Affairs, together with the Office of Public Relations & Communications had the opportunity to speak with a number of volunteers and clients at Welcoming Arms to understand the unique role they play in the Aurora community.
